Data protection charter
Romande Energie Group believes that privacy is extremely important, especially where this concerns protecting your personal data. Personal data are processed using the utmost care and attention, in accordance with the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the associated ordinance. This charter is applicable to all entities that are part of Romande Energie Group and in which Romande Energie Holding SA owns a majority interest.

1. Use of personal data
a.) Which personal data are processed?
We collect, store and process the personal data communicated to us in the context of our contractual relationship (name, surname, first name, address, phone numbers, email, date of birth, information necessary for the contractual relationship or to respond to a request, etc.).
When you provide us with your personal information, either by using online services or by phone or in writing, you agree that these details may be stored, processed or transmitted for the stated purposes.
However, personal data provided to Romande Energie SA as the distribution grid manager are treated in a strictly confidential manner, in accordance with Article 10 of the Electricity Supply Act.
b.) For which purpose do we use personal data?
We may use your personal data to interact with you in the context of our contractual relationship, to draw up invoices, ensure proper quality of service, manage our customer relationships and for marketing purposes, for example to offer customers personalised offers or information.
c.) By whom and where are personal data processed?
Your personal data can be used by Romande Energie and the companies affiliated with it. Information can be passed to third parties where required to service the contractual relationship. They will handle such data in full compliance with data protection legislation.
2. Security of personal data
We take the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised processing and ensure confidentiality, availability and integrity. The purpose of these measures is to protect the personal data stored in our computer system against the following risks: accidental or unauthorised deletion, accidental loss, technical errors, falsification, theft, unlawful use, modification, copying, access or any other unauthorised action. We also ensure that your personal data is adequately protected and secured when transmitting it to affiliated companies or service providers based in Switzerland or abroad.
We draw your attention to the fact that the internet is not a secure medium of communication and unauthorised third parties may gain access to data transmitted in these conditions, potentially leading to the release or modification of such data, or technical problems. Despite comprehensive technical and organisational security measures, the loss of personal data, its interception or manipulation by an unauthorised person cannot be ruled out.
3. Your rights
The law grants you a right of access to your personal data, as well as a right of rectification, deletion and blocking. To exercise this right, simply sent a request in writing to [email protected].
At any time you may cancel the receipt of advertisements and stop the processing of your data for marketing or advertising purposes, with future effect, by writing to [email protected] or Romande Energie, Customer Relations, rue de Lausanne 53, 1110 Morges.
