Romande Energie's response to deregulation of the electricity market has been to team up with 10 other Swiss power utilities to create a strong and stable marketing company – Romande Energie Commerce SA.

REC is leader in French-speaking Switzerland, with over 350,000 direct customers. It accounts for over 80% of the Vaud market and some 30% of the business market (consuming more than 100 MWh per year).

Thanks to the privileged relationship it enjoys with its partners’ clients, RE attends to the needs of some of these clients in the areas of energy and fluid networks as well as providing energy supply services.
