ENERBOIS, located in Rueyres in Vaud Canton, manages the largest biomass plant in French-speaking Switzerland. The power station came on stream in July 2010.

Romande Energie built this wood-fired thermal plant under a project to bring together the timber and power-generation industries in the production of environmentally friendly electricity. The plant also comprises a pellet production unit; this is operated in conjunction with the Zahnd saw mill, which supplies timber by-products to the plant.
